Chole Recipe

Chole is a famous panjabi dish and also known as a chana masala in other part of india. Chole is my favourite  recipe  to cook I am sharing  chole  recipe which I learned  from my  mother in law, she is excellent cook in our family . Learn how to cook  chole in my mother in law style.



Ingredients
1 cup chole (chickpeas , kabuli chana) overnight soaked.
1 tsp chopped  onion
1 tsp ginger garlic pest
2 chopped tomatoes
1tsp chopped  green coriander
1tsp finely  chopped  green chilli
1tsp red chilli powder
1/2 turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp mathi dana  ( roasted)
1 tsp freshly grind garam Masala
3-4 tsp Oil
Salt  to taste

 How to make chole recipe 

Wash chole and socked them overnight.
Take socked chole in a pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder and cook  till 6-7 whistle or till cooked.


Heat oil in a pan or kadahi add cumin seeds and bay leaf when they crackling add garlic,  ginger pest  cook till golden brown add onion  and saute till golden brown now add tomatoes  cook them till get soft.

Now add all spices and saute  for a minute add some water  if required so that spices
cooked completely. when mixture start leaving oil than add chole with water.



And cook it for 5-6 min when gravy texture form into thick ,  if gravy is too thick add some water or gravy is too watery then cook it  till  water dried.

Garnish with coriander and serve with puri or rice.
