Easy - delicious recipe Phirni


One of my favourite  dessert phirni made with milk and rice.  mostly phirni is made during festival like Eid, Holi and Diwali or on ceremonies. 

Phirni is serve in clay/ mud bowls and garnish with almonds  and pistachio flacks.

Now we start  making  easy  and delicious phirni.

Ingredients for phirni
4 cup full cream milk
1/3 cup rice soaked for 20 min. in water, drained and Grind to a fine  pest.
1/2 cup sugar or according  to  your taste
Cardamom  powder-1/2 tsp
Dry fruits  chopped ( pistachio ,almonds ) 1/4 cup
Saffron  strands- 8-9 (soaked in 2 tsp milk)

Cook time : 45 min.
Serve : 5 person
Prepared time: 10 min.

How to make  phirni

Add milk in a pan  and boil it when it starts boiling  add rice pest  with 2 tps milk in to boiled milk and mix well and keep stirring else rice flour might get stuck at the bottom. Cook it  till  rice soft and mix into milk. Add sugar and Cardamom powder and  continue  to stir till sugar desolve and it forms a nice creamy mixture with no lumps. add soaked saffron  milk and  dry fruits and cook it for two minutes. Now turn off flame.

Remove  to serving bowl and garnish with crushed pistachio  and almonds. And cool it till serving  time. Serve it cool.
